Letter from Oxfordshire Library Seervices
Dear Clerk
Oxfordshire Library Service Consultation
I am writing to inform you of the recent launch of Oxfordshire County Council’s public library service consultation, which sets out our proposals to work in close partnership with local people to provide a bright and modern future for Oxfordshire's 43 libraries. Details of the consultation can be found on the county council website:
http://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/libraryserviceconsultation
The consultation will run for four months from 27th May – 30th September 2011. People can have their say through the following channels:
· Completing the online feedback form on the county council website (http://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/libraryserviceconsultation)
1 Sending back the FREEPOST feedback form at the back of the consultation document - available at all libraries and council offices
2 Coming along to a library service consultation event
If your organisation would like to meet with county council representatives to discuss these proposals or if it would be helpful for the county council to take part in a locally arranged public meeting in your community, we would be very happy to do so. Please contact Carole Stow, Consultation & Involvement Manager on 01865 32 3742 or email libraryserviceconsultation@oxfordshire.gov.uk to make arrangements.
Yours faithfully
John Jackson
Director for Social & Community Services
